When I was little, my parents used to hang a dangling crystal decoration in the car. I was so mesmerised by how it would âblingâ whenever the sunlight caught it. It was so beautiful, and I couldnât stop looking at it!
I guess that was my first memorable encounter with glass crystals. Theyâre not natural crystals found in the earth, but are made of glass. Iâve always loved how they look when sunlight catches them. So sparkly and magical! When I was shopping for beads, I was immediately drawn to all the colourful glass beads. I had to turn them into jewellery, and I named them Blinglets! Because, well⊠they bling!

Their âsparklesâ somehow make me feel better too, in a weirdly psychological way, lol. Thereâs something so amazing about watching them interact with something in nature, like sunlight. It made me think about how sometimes, we may not be able to see (or may even be unaware of) the good in ourselves until something or someone brings it out. Itâs not that the beauty wasnât there. It was there all along. Maybe we just needed the right light to see it.
So donât stay too long in the dark. Darkness is not where youâll shine. Stand in the light, and youâll shine â§
You know what I mean? Hope Iâm not being too philosophical or something. đ
Do you also like glass beads and glass crystals?
